Power Management (Reboot, Shutdown, Suspend etc.) currently does not work on Arch Linux systems since Arch Linux recently dropped support for ConsoleKit, which has been unmaintained for quite some time .
ConsoleKit has been dropped in favor of systemd's logind , which btw also provides interfaces to suspend or hibernate the machine, so the upower dependency may not be required anymore for distributions which use logind.
This will become a problem on other distributions as well when they drop ConsoleKit in favor of logind. I already mentioned this problem on the forums .
